Irrelevant Question of the Week

Forgot to return a rented DVD of Hitchcock's Vertigo to the library the other day. Anyone know if an overdue library rental affects one's credit rating?

(And don't tell me it's not supposed to. I know that answer.)

I used to work at Central Library. From what I know (which might or might not be entirely accurate...), it does not affect the credit rating unless they report you to a debt collector or whatever its called...they only report you I think if the amount overdue is high or if it is has been a certain amount of time..Therefore, what I'm trying to get to here is that I think if it is just from "the other day" it most likely will not have any affect whatsoever.
